Our life’s purpose is to be Jesus followers, on mission, living out the Gospel and furthering the Kingdom through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit – we are mandated with the primary task of making disciples and this begins with sharing the Gospel – and we have a world waiting to hear the good news. As the Scriptures remind us:
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"

Meet The Missional Team
Founder and Lead Strategist
James Armstrong
With 30 years of experience as a Senior Pastor, military Chaplain, Professor as well as ministry to Students, College, and Mission work throughout the US, Honduras, Belarus, Haiti, and Kyrgyzstan. James has traveled to 23 countries, serving in 12 congregations while leading 34 single, youth and family retreats. He’s been the keynote and seminar speaker at 16+ conferences and seminars across the country.
Currently working on his 6th degree, a PhD in Systematic Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He’s also earned a Doctor of Ministry in leadership from George Fox University. He founded Becoming Missional, which is also the title of his upcoming book, to equip and train churches and pastors worldwide. James’ heart and passion is to unleash the church globally to make disciples, teaching them to follow Christ and share the good news...maybe one last time.

Board Representative and Financial Advisor
John Dixon is an Investment Advisor Representative and retirement and wealth consultant working under the Cosey Financial Services, Inc. banner. He works with individual and corporate clients on providing everything from basic financial plans, to retirement planning & estate planning, to financial-concierge services. As a result of that experience, he co-founded a firm in Nashville TN which specialized in providing employee benefits and various planning services to members of trade groups. Association Marketing Group, LLC worked with numerous businesses within five trade associations.
John has a BA in Agribusiness & Marketing concentration from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, an Investment Advisor Representative and Licensed TN Agent for Life & Health Insurance, and currently serving on four non-profit boards in various capacities. He is happily married to Dena, his bride and best friend of 30+ years. Together they 3 children are very active in their church and the local community.
